Growing our own food is not an easy task but it is not impossible; there are resources available to help. For a second time now we are partnering with Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to benefit our participants by providing them free seasonal seeds. The seeds come with specifications for the months they need to be planted, the depth needed when planting the seed, the space needed between the seeds when planting, etc. Following these steps will allow you be successful in starting your garden. By growing at home you receive many benefits such as harvesting organic products, eating healthy and sustainably, knowing about the development of plants and their needs, reducing your stress, saving money, increasing your environmental awareness, and more. If you are interested in having your own garden and need seeds please call Palmira Henriquez (520) 403-6905.
