The new Western Environmental Science Technical Assistance Center for Environmental Justice (West EJ Center) has been featured in Arizona Daily Star! EPA has awarded $10 million to run the West EJ Center under Principal Investigator, Dr. Paloma Beamer at the University of Arizona College of Public Health. As one of the center’s five partners, we look forward to helping underserved and overburdened community groups and institutions receive funding for clean energy programs and projects to achieve environmental and energy justice (EEJ). Through the center we look forward to helping program and project participants receive assistance, training and resources to help them become local advocates and educators for environmental justice work.
