This workshop is designed to provide participants with the understanding of solar technologies, their benefits, and their components, and maintenance. Through the Solar Empowerment Program, SERI and Technicians For Sustainability (TFS) are working together to make rooftop solar systems more accessible for low-income households in the Tucson Metropolitan Area. Participants in our 1.5-hour Solar Empowerment Workshop will gain a clear understanding of solar technology, its benefits, and how the program works. Qualifying households can receive grants covering up to 60% of system costs, with additional financing options available through the Clean Energy Credit Union (CECU). Federal and state tax credits may further reduce costs, making solar power an affordable and sustainable option.
