Warning Issued by FDA About Imported Cookware That May Leach Lead Into Food

On September 12, 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued warnings about three imported cookware items. These cookware are made from aluminum, brass, and aluminum alloys called Hindalium/Hindolium. The FDA has found that these cookware can leach lead into food when used for cooking or food storage. 

Consumers should check their homes for the listed cookware items below and discard any cookware that may fit the description. Please do not donate or refurbish these cookware. If you experience any symptoms related to the use of these cookware, contact your healthcare provider to report your symptoms and receive appropriate care.
