Boyro Baby Walkers Recalled Due to Lead
News
Boyro Baby walkers are being recalled for violating the federal safety standard for infant walkers. They pose a risk of serious injury or death due to a fall hazard because they can fit through a standard door way and fail to stop at the edge of a step as required. The brake pads also contain levels of lead exceeding the federal lead content ban in children’s products set by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.
The baby walkers were sold online through Amazon.com between August 2024 and December 2024. The price range for these walkers was between $70 and $90. The recall specifically affects the US-B01 model. The plastic walkers were available in three colors: black, blue, and gray. Each walker featured a rotating seat in black or gray, a matching footpad, six wheels, and four removable toys. These toys included an owl, a flower, an arch with a ball, and a three-button panel that played music and lit up. The “Ready to Ride” message was printed on one of the walker’s legs, while “Boyro Baby” and the model number were clearly labeled on the tracking label located underneath the seat cushion.
Exposure to lead can have severe adverse effects on a child’s health, leading to well-documented health consequences such as damage to the brain and nervous system. To mitigate these risks, consumers are strongly advised to cease using and disassemble the recalled baby walkers. Subsequently, they should contact Boyro Baby for instructions on obtaining a full refund. To facilitate the refund process, consumers are requested to email three photographs of the destroyed product to boyrobaby@outlook.com.
